More on Medieval Gardens..

Featured Replies

Sorry I haven't had more time online, but wanted to drop in a quick site for everyone to check out (into plants or not, I have a feeling this site is great!) P.S. I believe it may be in French and working toward getting the gist of it translated out and refigured. PDF files are harder for me some reason than just a cut and paste job. Enjoy....I sure drooled over the pics alone. Great site! The title should read Inspirational gardens of medieval priories....or something similiar.

Medieval Priory Gardens and Plans

Any thoughts?

Alright, hoping there may be some interest in this area, but going to go ahead and get started on this anyway. I have been meaning to get some research together on Medieval and Renaissance gardens - of which have a huge relationship to castles and the foundation of life and exsistance in this era of time.

Over the next few weeks I will be working on covering plant lists, layout and design, architectural features found within the gardens (mostly later periods) and historical referrences for each. Please, please, please feel free to ask any questions or add to anything I thow out - for I am sure I am not all knowing when it comes to this area, and am sure we can all learn from each other.

Be sure to look around, as since there are many aspects, I will be posting them under different headings to make room. Happy reading!
