This is a great book, published by Frances Lincoln Ltd in 2009.

 

I've no idea why I've not come across it before. I found it for sale on Amazon, and snapped up the bargain.

 

There are lots of pictures, even of the lesser known sites, which provides the main interest for me. If you come across a copy, and have an interest in the castles of Northumberland, it's a "must have".
