I posted this for Mech and Ralph, I know you guys like the military stuff. The site is self explanatory, but bearing in mind that Scotland had huge military importance during WW2 and the Cold War, this is about the abandoned bits and pieces that are still around for the curious.

Abandoned and Little Known Airfields. Covers exactly what it says. US only right now. The neatest ones contain replies and stories from fliers who used the fields, or their (insert relative/family member/friend here) was at the airfield for (insert War training, flight training, etc... here).

 

Good stuff, a bit of aviation nostalgia.
