Their tomes can now be found and downloaded at http://www.electricscotland.com/books/pdf/...rchitecture.htm

Andrew you're gonna kill my social life with these links!

:D :read:

Now that review at the head of the page looks interesting, I wonder who posted that on Amazon? :P

Thankfully the PDF's are the index's only. The books are far too huge for downloads

Who do you think might have posted the review, Birlinn?

Nope, Me, and I notice Amazon Uk are selling all 5 for a bargain £99 now.

That might be something to do with Birlinn buying out The Mercat press.

No it's not, it's the whole thing. It's an original copy from the University of Toronto, with the exception of Volume 4, which is from the Birlinn/ Mercat facsimile reprint.

hmmm your right, I went back and re-checked, not sure why I only came up with the index page the first time

As John said in 'Lochore', it's amazing what's on line these days, and recently there are a lot of very valuable resources which have come on line which would have been most useful 8 years ago!

Then we only really had Canmore, now we have the NLS with the old maps, Google books, RSP, Billings, and MacGibbon & Ross amongst others.
