Hell Yes, Man!! I keep telling you: Get a trebuchet on the roof of a turret and fire watermelon and pumpkins at scarecrows in the field!!!!

You know, thats a good idea. For real. The only thing is we need to find a projectile that wont seriously harm a person at long range.

 

Im not kidding either - Imagine the fun: Theres Joe... hes tied to a 6X6 post out in the field... we'd be atop the turret discussing his recent blundering... (crank..crank..crank..) "yeah, well, he says hewas trying... but I dont see the bottom line matching up..." (crank...crank..crank)

FIRE!!! (...feeeeeeee-) Blast! Oh, but that was so close!!!

Imagine the intense suspense as the shooter realized that this shot is lined up and might just hit the guy!!! GLORIOUS!!!

 

Maybe we could put the guy in armor. Maybe We could use a soft missile. Hmmm, this warrants further thought.

I got it---Laureen's soft you could toss her at the human target and it would scare him I'm sure.

That sounds good to me and while duncan is tying the victum to the pole (oooops darn hair trigger's) should we tell him to duck

I dunno about hurling Laureen at the guy - the fright would kill him even if the blow didnt - and I was hoping to at least get a few shots in before it was time to change the target. Plus Id have to replace the 6x6 post...

 

Nerf squishy thing is the right idea butthe poblem is it has to have enough mass to travel that far - wetting it wont work. Any projectile lobbed more than 50' is going to have to weigh enough that its goin to hurt when it hits.

Hence the idea if armoring the guy or giving him flimsy shelter that breaks away leaving him less cover space as the game gets played.

I think Ill call this game "Hide and Shriek".

Fruit is just as bad - actually worse- But you know, you could fire huge water ballons at guys standing free on the lawn - theyd have to just not get hit directly...or else. You could send a 15-20 gallon waterballon (100-140lb) a good 200 feet or more that would make a decent splash.

 

Thinking about that - geez... if you hit someone... wow. Armor or no armor its going to hurt real bad.

No, no, no....! You give him a SHIELD! Idiots....then you just hurl whatever at him and let him defend for himself.
