African Violets
My Rebel's Splatter Kake decided to become a double blossom instead of a semi double. I don't know if it will continue or even if the babies will be double.

Bobbin Lace
Those are beautiful. I have done both of those styles of lace before. What type of bobbins does she use? Are they spangled with beads or round fat bobbin or some other design. Are they wood, glass, metal, bone? I have a few spangled bobbins made from paper. The bobbins I use most have spangles on them. I have seen (I think it was Dutch) that was unspangled or square that was gorgeous.

Bobbin Lace
I wish I could have seen your moms bobbin lace when I was in England. Several of the items in the first post stayed in England as they were made as thank you gifts. Yes I still do bobbin lace when I get some time. I have 2 boards with unfinished lace, I need to work on. I have lots of bobbins made of plastic, wood, bone, metal even glass with oil and glitter inside. I love looking at the bobbins. Yes I have made a lot of items of lace that went on exhibit in a couple of local shows. They now live in folders to keep them clean. I gave a lot away as gifts. My mom also loves doing patchwork

Jacob - Shetland Sheep
Let me introduce you to our newest member of our holding. Ramie wondering where we are going. And yes they both fit in my jeep. This is in the Holding pen. They are 1 1/2 years old and have never been sheared. Both are 1/2 Shetland and 1/2 Jacobs. These are the after photos Ewie Ramie It was a wee bit cold the first night and we placed shirts on the lot. To give you some ideal of how big the fleece size was. Each square on the grid is 1 inch. First on the Left is the raw fiber -- fluff from Combing -- Combed Fiber -- Lock of wool spun and folded on itself, makes a nice striped yarn. Now for the big question what am I going to do with the wool? It weighs 6 pounds. I was thinking about a knit sweater / woven blanket. I am try to make samples now to see how it will feel next to the skin. Ewie belongs to my daughter It has been a very different experience for us as we have never used electric shears before, and by hand it takes forever. I think my daughter did a wonderful job of shearing the first time and both sheep even survived.

Garden Tyme
You do know that I would not know where to begin with a year long garden. The closet I have here is my greenhouse. I did enjoy fresh oranges and tomatoes all year long. All of the citrus and avocado trees are blooming. I need to go outside and remove some of the straw covering my delicate plants, before the momma rabbit makes her nest.
