    From Pettis County Bothwell Castle John Homer Bothwell was born in Maysville, Illinois . He moved to Sedalia, Missouri, and became one of the areas greatest benefactors. John Bothwell built this stone lodge between 1897 and 1928. The lodge is now a state historic site.
